This might be the closest I get to an Oscar speech, so here goes…

All my life, I’ve struggled to feel good enough. My failures became proof:

—> The teenage outcast.
—> Dumped by the cool boy.
—> Getting demoted.

What got me through were my closest relationships.

They made me believe I mattered, even when the world told me I didn’t.

So much so, I took up space.

Yesterday, they sat front row at my first TEDx talk. About the privilege of being loved.

So, this one’s dedicated to them. And to love…
